AS A JUNIOR (2022):
NFCA Second Team All-South Central Region... DII World Series All-Tournament Team... Appeared in 55 games... Hit .308 with seven homeruns and 13 doubles... Registered 38 RBI on the year... Had 13 multi-hit games... Hit .400 (4-for-10) at the Division II World Series... Posted extra-base hits in three out of her four hits between the four games.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021):
Appeared in 35 games while starting 28 of those... Batted .260 by going 25-for-96 with three doubles and 10 home runs and driving in 34 runs... Drew four walks and three hit by pitches... Led the team in home runs and RBIs on the season... On 3/7/2021 against Eastern New Mexico she went 2-for-3 with two home runs and five RBIs
AS A FRESHMAN (2020):
Played in 14 games, starting 10 times… Batted .310 (9-for-29) with 8 runs, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 3 walks… Had a pair of multi-hit games, including a 2-for-4, 2-run performance with a solo home run in a 9-2 win over Midwestern State…Hit a 3-run home run in the second inning to spark a come-from-behind 11-8 win against No. 14-ranked Southern Arkansas… Earned Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition in the fall and spring semesters, helping UT Tyler claim the 2019-20 LSC Softball Academic Team Championship.
PERSONAL: Marek is the daughter of Larry and Yolanda, and she has three brothers named Josh, Aaron and Chris. She attended Robinson High School in Robinson, Texas, just outside of Waco. She played three years of varsity softball for Coach Bobby Cervenka. She chose UT Tyler because of the safe environment and friendly community, and she was also impressed by UT Tyler’s nursing program. She joined the program and hopes to become a nurse after graduation. One of her hobbies is bowling.
