2021 - SENIOR (COVID)

• Made 18 appearances and a career-high 16 starts after moving into a weekend starting role early in the season
• Went 3-3 on the year and set career highs in innings pitched (79.2) and strikeouts (77)
• Allowed just one run and tied a career high with eight strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched to lead Tennessee to a win over Liberty (6/6) in the NCAA Regional final and send the Vols to their first Super Regional since 2005 
• Held Arkansas without a hit through five innings and surrendered just three total hits while striking out six in Tennessee's win over the top-ranked Hogs (5/15)
• Posted a quality start vs. Kentucky (4/30), allowing three runs in 6.1 innings while also striking out six batters

• On the mound, he posted a 4-1 record with a 2.20 ERA and 35 strikeouts through 32.2 innings of work. He made 26 appearances with one start in the 2019 season. 
• Tossed 3.0 scoreless innings of relief against North Carolina (6/2)
• Threw a scoreless inning of relief in a 7-0 win over Ole Miss (5/17)
• Tossed 3.1 innings, giving up just two hits in a win over Austin Peay (5/7)
• Logged three innings and gave up just two hits in a win over Belmont (4/2)
• Tossed 3.2 innings in a win over UNC Asheville and struck out eight batters (3/13)
• Saw first action of the year against Northern Kentucky and tossed one inning with two strikeouts (2/19)

2018 - SOPHOMORE

• On the mound, he posted a 4-3 record with a 5.63 ERA and 28 strikeouts over 38.1 innings of work and 17 appearances (five starts).
• At the plate, he went 0-1 but scored once as a pinch runner
• Threw 0.2 scoreless innings of relief at Mizzou on May 19
• Earned his fifth start of the season vs. Vanderbilt on May 11, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks while striking out two in the loss.
• Made first-career start in SEC play vs. No. 13 Kentucky, giving up two runs on just one hit in 2.1 innings of work (5/4).
• Pitched a career-long 6.0 innings in his second start on April 17 at ETSU, giving up just four hits and no runs while striking out five for the win.
• In his first start on the mound for UT, he tossed 5.1 scoreless innings and allowed just two hits to pick up his third win of the season (4/11).
• Charged with the first loss of his career against ETSU after allowing five runs (two earned) on five hits through 2.0 innings of work (3/20).
• Earned his second win of the season in his next appearance on Feb. 27 vs. Middle Tennessee. He threw 4.0 innings of relief and allowed just one run on three hits while striking out a career-high six batters.
• Picked up the first win of his career vs. UNCG, throwing 3.0 scoreless innings of relief on Feb. 23.

2017 - FRESHMAN

• As a two-way player for UT, made 12 relief appearances during his freshman campaign while also playing 21 games (seven starts) primarily as designated hitter. On the mound, he posted no record with a 2.93 ERA over 15.1 innings, while hitting .171 with a double and six RBIs at the plate.
• Tossed 2.1 relief innings in Tennessee's Saturday contest visiting No. 8-ranked Kentucky, allowing just three hits (May 13).
• Threw 1.1 scoreless innings in relief as part of UT's 7-6 win over Eastern Kentucky (May 10).
• Went 1-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs in UT's rain-suspended/resumed contest vs. No. 14-ranked Arkansas, helping the Vols to a 5-4 win (May 6).
• Recorded his first career extra-base hit (double) as well as his first career multi-hit game for UT, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs as part of a 9-2 win over ETSU in Knoxville (May 2).
• Made his first career start as designated hitter at ETSU (April 11).
• Helped UT to a 7-6 win over No. 7-ranked Florida on April 7, knocking a bases-loaded sac fly as a pinch hitter in the 10th inning.
• Made back-to-back appearances in relief against Georgia, combining for 2.0 scoreless innings against the Bulldogs (April 1-2).
• Threw 2.0 hitless innings of relief in UT's 7-1 win over Marshall (March 22).
• Played both ways for Tennessee in its series finale vs. South Carolina (March 19), making his first career start in right field and going 1-for-3 before tossing 1.0 inning in relief.
• Recorded his first career hit as a Vol in a pinch-hit at-bat against Cincinnati, going 1-for-1 (March 10).
• Appeared as a pinch-hitter vs. Memphis on Feb. 18, going 0-for-1 in his first collegiate at-bat.
• Made his career debut for the Orange and White on Feb. 17, tossing 0.2 scoreless inning of relief as part of an 8-5 win in Memphis.
• In his most recent appearance on the mound for Front Royal on July 18, Heflin allowed three earned runs on eight hits and fanned a summer-high six batters through 5.0 innings of work in the loss. The two-way player made his second plate appearance of the summer on July 23, going 2-for-4. He drove in two runs and stole a base en route to Front Royal's 6-2 win over the Rebels.

HIGH SCHOOL

• Graduated from Morristown West in Tennessee.
• Lettered all four years of high school in both baseball and football, serving as football captain for two years.
• Tabbed All-Region Pitcher of the Year and IMAC Player of the Year in 2015 after posting a .439 batting average and 10-1 pitching record in addition to an ERA of .43.
• As a freshman, he went 6-0 with a 1.53 ERA and picked up 10 saves.
• Threw a complete game shutout at the Jupiter World Championship
• Selected to the All-Region and All-Conference Teams three years in a row.
• Named a Preseason 2016 Louisville Slugger Second Team All-American.
• Earned TBCA All-State honors in 2016.
• Ranked as the No. 3 left-handed pitcher and 16th overall player in the state of Tennessee. He was also tabbed the 100th LHP in the USA by Perfect Game in 2016.
