Biography

2021s: Named to CAA Honor Roll... Appeared in all four games, recording 20 tackles (14 solo)… broke up three passes and logged a quarterback hit and a forced fumble… fielded 11 punt returns… Had season-high nine tackles (six solo) against New Hampshire (3/5).

2019: Played in all 14 games at cornerback… recorded 79 tackles on the season… had two interceptions and six pass breakups… recorded a season-high 10 tackles vs. New Hampshire (11/16)… had a forced fumble in the FCS playoffs at Montana State (12/7).

2018: Played in eight games, with six starts... totaled 43 tackles (20 solo)... recovered two fumbles and had a pass break up... recorded a career-high 14 tackles (eight solo) at Rhode Island (9/8)... had 12 tackles vs. Saint Francis (Pa.) (9/22).

2017: Appeared in two games, against Morgan State (9/9) and Monmouth (9/16), before missing remainder of the season due to injury. 

2016: Played in seven games in the UAlbany secondary... recorded tackles in wins over Holy Cross (9/17) and Elon (10/29).

HIGH SCHOOL: Team captain …Three-year letterwinner at Montour … Also competed in track and field … Named First-Team All-Parkway Conference for both offense and defense as a senior, as well as the Pennsylvania Football News Class 3A All-State Defensive First Team … Earned defensive first-team all-conference, second-team All-State, and Pittsburgh Post Gazette Fabulous 22 East honors as a junior, helping the Spartans hold opponents to 17.9 points per game.

PERSONAL: Son of Troy Cotton and Richelle Carswell … Has two sisters, Victoria and Nya … Intends to major in communications.
