John T. Frankfurth, 94 of Jupiter, Florida passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023.

John was born in Wayne, Michigan on October 31, 1928, son of the late Alfred and Margaret Frankfurth. He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Frankfurth. He is survived by his beloved sons, Thomas Frankfurth and Paul Frankfurth and daughter, Jill McDermott and daughter in laws, Jolie Frankfurth and Susan Frankfurth and son in law Michael McDermott as well as his adored grandchildren, Darby Frankfurth, Derek Frankfurth, Jake McDermott, Nolan McDermott, Sean McDermott, and Olivia Frankfurth.

After WWII and his time in the Army, John received his bachelor's in chemistry from Wayne State University. He spent many successful and rewarding years in Buffalo, Chicago, and the Akron/Cleveland area as a chemist and salesman for Harwick Chemical Corp. He was an active golf, tennis, and social member of Portage Country Club. After retiring to Jupiter, Florida he spent his days golfing at Turtle Creek Country Club in Tequesta and travelling with his beloved wife, Phyllis until her passing in 2004, the day he claimed his luck ran out.

He was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed every moment spent in their lives. John had a charming sense of humor and always dressed as a gentleman in a sports jacket and khakis. He was delighted in social banter and loved a good ribbing; his jokes will live on, and his quick wit will surely be remembered by all who knew him. He enjoyed classical music, healthy walks, was an avid reader of non-fiction and encouraged a lifetime of education.
