Partner since 1960

Founded in 1890, the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) brings together mothers, sisters, wives, daughters, doctors, teachers, professionals and community leaders who are dedicated to enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

Active in all 50 U.S. states and more than a dozen countries, for over six decades, GFWC has supported UNICEF’s work to respond whenever and wherever children need help. Today, through its valuable contributions to the Every Child Fund, the GFWC helps UNICEF deliver support and supplies appropriate to the unique challenges and conditions facing children around the world.

Working together for every child

Every year, UNICEF responds to over 300 emergencies while maintaining delivery of the essentials children need to survive and thrive — safe water, proper sanitation facilities, health services, education and protection.

The Every Child Fund provides the consistent revenue stream required to maintain UNICEF’s presence in 190 countries and territories. Contributions to the Every Child Fund also empower country offices to make informed, real-time decisions about how best to address the specific needs of children they serve.

The Every Child Fund’s flexible financing helps UNICEF:

  • run the world’s largest humanitarian supply warehouse and procure and deliver aid and supplies anywhere in the world within 72 hours
  • provide children under age one with essential childhood vaccines in hard-to-reach places in Mali
  • hire psycho-social support experts in Lebanon to address the growing mental health crisis in the wake of 2021’s Beirut port explosion and ongoing economic upheaval
