Placement Exams

Need to take a placement exam? We can help. You'll need to take your placement exams before your orientation session — that way you'll be ready to sign up for classes.

What are academic placement exams?

Texas Wesleyan University uses placement exams to check your academic skill levels in subjects such as math, English and reading. The results of these scores determine if you need a little more preparation before taking college-level classes.

Could I be exempt from placement exams?

Certain TSI, ACT or SAT scores could exempt you. Please submit your scores to your admissions counselor as soon as possible and check out our 2023 RAMS Success Course Placement Chart.‌ Questions? Ask us — we're happy to help!

Placement tests are offered on campus at various times throughout the week. If one of the available times do not work for your schedule or you are not local, email our testing coordinator to request other options.
