Biography

2021 (Redshirt Sophomore): Posted a breakout campaign in 2021, as he established himself as one of the team's most valuable players both offensively and defensively... Following the year he was showered with postseason honors, including First Team American Athletic Conference, Third Team Collegiate Baseball All-America, First Team American Baseball Coaches Association South All-Region, and Second Team NCBWA All-America... Was selected as a Finalist for the Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award... Was the only player on the team to start in all 55 games... Led the team offensively in hits (84), runs scored (55), doubles (20), triples (4), total bases (136) and stolen bases (20). Finished second on the team in home runs (8) and batting average (.353)... Totaled a team-best 29 multiple hit games... Had a 17-game hit streak and reached base safely in 25 straight games...Recorded three-hit games at Mississippi State (2/28), vs. Louisiana Tech (3/21), at Memphis (4/23), vs. Houston (5/1), vs. UCF (5/16) and vs. USF (5/29)... Scored a season-high four runs at Troy (3/14)... Collected his first career grand slam against in the home finale against UCF (5/16)... Drove in seven runs and drilled his second grand slam of the year against USF (5/29, game one) in the AAC Tournament... Was named to the AAC All-Tournament team after he posted a batting average of .381, going 8-of-21 at the plate. He also added a pair of doubles, a triple, one home run and 11 RBI.

2020 (Sophomore): Played in all 17 games as a sophomore, making 16 starts all at shortstop… Finished the year hitting .263 at the plate with 15 total hits, including three doubles, slugging .316 with a .391 on-base percentage… Drove in seven, while scoring 10 times on the season and drawing nine walks… Went 1-for-4 in game two against Florida Gulf Coast (2/15)… Earned a hit and was hit by pitch on the road at Louisiana-Lafayette (2/19)… Had a hit, drew a walk and scored twice in game two against Cal State Fullerton (2/22)… Drove in his first run of the year in the finale against the Titans with a walk (2/23)… Went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in the finale against Middle Tennessee (3/1)… Had three hits with an RBI and two runs scored against Texas Southern (3/3)… Went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored in game two against Southern (3/7)… Drove in two on a double in game one against Lamar (3/10).

2019 (Freshman): Played in 27 games in his first season at Tulane, making nine starts between shortstop and designated hitter… Averaged .217 at the plate with 10 hits, including three doubles and a triple, four RBI and nine runs scored… Made his debut in the field at shortstop against George Washington (2/16)… Earned his first Tulane hit against Texas Southern (3/6)… Earned his first multi-hit game going 2-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBI and two runs scored against UC Riverside (3/17)… Had an RBI single against Houston Baptist (3/22)… Had a double and a run scored in the first game of a doubleheader against Cincinnati (3/29)… Roped a double and scored twice against USF (4/13)… Had a hit and scored a run in the win over No. 10 ECU... Named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and the Tulane Athletics 3.0 Club for fall 2018 and spring 2019. 

Before Tulane: A three-year letterman at De La Salle High School in New Orleans…played shortstop for the Cavaliers…helped his team to a 31-9 record and an appearance in the state quarterfinals in 2018… posted a .402 batting average while leading the team in home runs and tallying 49 hits and 52 runs scored as a senior…tabbed a 2018 Preseason Rawlings All-America Honorable Mention...named to The New Orleans Advocate All-Metro Team, the LBCA All-Region 10 Team, the USAToday first team All-USA Louisiana, the PBR first team all-state, and LBCA all-state first team as a senior…first team all-district honors as a sophomore, junior and senior… the third ranked shortstop in Louisiana according to the 2018 Prep Baseball Report…tabbed to the Louisiana all-academic team…ranked second academically in his graduating class…his father, Brent, is a graduate of Tulane Law School…has two younger brothers, Ethan and Dalton, and two younger sisters, Emily and Caitlyn.
