U.S. Representative Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.) and Wisconsin state Senator André Jaque (R-DePere) call upon the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to remove a Satanic tree from their Christmas Festival of Lights display.

The tree was submitted by the Satanic Temple of Wisconsin and is adorned with pentagrams, images of Baphomet, and LGBTQ ornaments. “A Satanic tree is antithetical to everything that Christmas stands for and yet another example of an assault on, not only basic Christian values…, but on common sense in Wisconsin,” Congressman Gallagher said in an interview with The New American. Echoing the same sentiments, state Senator André Jaque told The New American: “It’s very important that the community speaks loudly that this is an attack on Christianity, on religious belief, right on the eve of Christmas,” adding, “It’s really obscene.”

Congressman Gallagher also addressed the need for additional U.S. border security amidst White House negotiations with Congress regarding President Biden’s request for additional funding and military aid for Ukraine and Israel.
