  • Director of Development and Communications – TeamChild seeks a strategic, innovative, social justice-minded leader to serve as Director of Development and Communications. Building on six years of prior revenue development work, the Director will support TeamChild in a pivotal chapter to advance justice for youth through legal, policy, and youth/community organizing efforts. The Director is the lead revenue generator for the organization, in close partnership with the Executive Director. Using a combination of private and public (government) fundraising strategies, they will retain existing funds, steward vital relationships, and actively seek new funding prospects that align with TeamChild’s work. This role also oversees TeamChild’s external communications work (website, social media, earned media) and manages a three-person Development team (including a Development and Communications Manager and an Annual & Institutional Giving Manager).   • Spokane Managing Attorney – Managing Attorneys are responsible for day-to-day management and supervision of local office operations and directly report to TeamChild’s Director of Legal Services. Managing Attorneys must work directly with their attorney and program staff to support their development and skills at TeamChild while also carrying a caseload. Managing Attorneys are supported by the Director of Legal Services and also work with each other and with the Executive Team. Managing Attorneys provide leadership within their local office and community to ensure high quality services, to create a cohesive work environment including linkages to other offices, and to build strong community partnerships that advance local and statewide goals.   • Pierce County Managing Attorney –We are seeking candidates who are committed to undoing institutional racism and other forms of oppression, as well as passionate about supporting young people. We seek candidates who are willing to go beyond the traditional attorney role to move towards cultivating holistic advocacy models to identify and execute creative—and sometimes non-legal— strategies alongside youth. Candidates should work well both independently and as a team member, be respectful and passionate about working with people from diverse backgrounds, enjoy creative problem solving, and value the creation of relationships across disciplines. Internship and Other Volunteer Opportunities

  • Policy Intern Winter 2024 (We are no longer accepting applications)- TeamChild’s Policy Team is excited to offer a 10-week, 10 hours a week winter internship opportunity that starts in January 2024. This exceptional learning opportunity is open to undergraduate and law students. This position supports the work of our policy and legal services team, focusing on a special project to support individual youth and solve for system barriers when youth have no safe living situation upon release from a county detention facility.
