Best Practices for Grant Writing

There are numerous places on campus giving away money…if you know where to look.  Sometimes you will present a creative idea that you want to try out and other times you can develop some things you are already using in your classes further and get paid for your work.  Do you want more class supplies or equipment?  To travel to a conference related to teaching?  To be recognized for your work?  To share your teaching ideas with others?  In a session that focuses on opportunities for non-tenure track faculty at all ranks (professorial, instructor, lecturer, adjunct, etc.), several grant types available on the University of Arkansas campus will be shared.  You’ll determine the difference between a good grant application and idea, and one that needs improvement.  Also, there will be hands-on time to discuss ideas for grants with others including those that have earned grants before.  If you want to earn a grant this year or in the next few years this session will help set you up for greater success in this process.

We will be having the Baked Potato Bar for lunch.  This buffet will include baked potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, bacon, ,green onion, broccoli, diced ham whipped butter dinner rolls, brocooli cheese soup, and salad.  Be sure to click on the day you would like to attend to indicate your dietary needs.
