TSHA Annual Meeting

Held each year since the Association's founding, TSHA's Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of its kind for Texas history enthusiasts and professional and independent scholars. This event offers a range of opportunities for individuals and organizations working in historical, cultural, preservationist, and tourist services. More than 700 people regularly attend the meeting and another 170,000 TSHA members and constituents are reached through email and social and traditional media about the event.

San Jacinto Symposium

The annual Battle of San Jacinto Symposium is the preeminent conference on the Texas Revolution era. The objective is to promote public awareness and scholarship on the Mexican national era in Texas (1821-1835), the Texas Revolution (1835-1836), the Battle of San Jacinto (1836), and the Republic of Texas (1836-1845). These pivotal years mark the transition from Spanish and Mexican sovereignty to independent Texas and annexation to the United States.

Texas History Day (THD)

Each year thousands of students, encouraged by teachers and parents statewide, participate in the National History Day program in Texas. Texas History Day, an affiliate of NHD and is a highly regarded academic program for 6th through 12th grade students. Each year more than 65,000 Texas students join more than 500,000 students across the country for National History Day.

Texas Talks

An ongoing series of interactive webinars, Texas Talks features a presenter/moderator format with an audience question and answer session. Presenters include authors, professors, graduate students and independent historians and topics range from the Civil War to 20th Century immigration and Women's history to Travel Tourism and much more.
