The Charitable Healthcare Network is requesting speaking proposals for the 2022 Safety-Net Symposium in Columbus, Ohio scheduled for April 29-30, 2022​. This symposium is the only regional conference specifically designed to address issues and topics that health care safety-net organizations, staff, board members, and volunteers face on a daily basis.

We invite proposals that will equip safety-net health care organizations to do their best work. Evidence-based clinical practices for at-risk populations, ideas for improving care for patients and caregivers, and nonprofit best practices are all necessary for a successful Symposium. Be a part of one of the best and brightest networks in the nation!

While we strongly encourage free clinic professionals and volunteers to submit a proposal for a presentation, we also ​encourage you to forward this opportunity to others who you believe would be excellent speakers for our conference - a volunteer, board member, or colleague who would be interested in contributing to the quality of care provided to patients in health care safety-net organizations or enhancing our understanding of health care access.

We are looking for presentations that will improve knowledge, enhance skills and highlight successful programs and practices. Submission topics can be in any area related to the operations of a charitable organization, best practices of providing care for the vulnerable, or the future of the health care system in Ohio. Examples of topics usually appearing in the program include clinical practices, patient education, working with volunteers, engaging the community, health-literacy, patient outcomes, funding acquisition, clinic management, compliance with laws, and working with boards of directors.

The Education Committee will be looking for speakers who will:

-Provide tangible resources and information that attendees can apply in their daily operations
-Provide outcomes information and/or results about the topics that are being presented
-Provide in-depth training and information
-Show relevant subject matter expertise
-Share a PowerPoint Presentation or documents that can be electronically shared with all attendees
-Provide a presentation that is robust and informational, rather than just anecdotal

As a thank you to those interested in attending the full symposium, you will receive a 50% discount on the registration fee. If you plan to just speak during your session, there will be no fee to attend.
