HONEY CHILE Coordinator

Ran by TV / film writer and producer Felicia Pride, HONEY CHILE is a media + production company that tells + shares stories by, for, or about Black women 40+ (Honeys as we call them). We do this through creating culturally-impactful content across TV, film, audio, and digital and helping other storytellers do the same through our sister brand THE CREATE DAILY.

We are currently seeking a part-time COORDINATOR. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, self-starter with a creative or business background who is interested in becoming an executive or producer. You’ll be assisting our Head Honey and Creative Executive on all things HONEY CHILE and THE CREATE DAILY as they build an independent production company from the ground up.

• Exceptionally organized and systems-oriented (spreadsheets and systems are your jam)
• Basic graphic design skills (Canva)
• Has an appreciation for entrepreneurship, storytelling, film / TV, education, and all things Honeys (Black women 40+)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organize calendar / scheduling
• Manage emails + inquiries  
• Organize all meetings / attend meetings + take notes
• Maintain our digital workspaces: Trello, Drive, Notion
• Serve as support to all team members (in-house & contractors)
• Track and establish systems and processes that helps the Head Honey better manage team and workload / keep HC team organized
• Serve as project manager for projects and tasks, ensuring that things get DONE in a timely manner
• Help to manage operations for The Create Daily
• Assist in social media posting and organizing

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• At least two years experience in entertainment or business
• Willing to commit to a minimum of one year; Room for growth for the right person
• Must be able to anticipate needs of team and take initiative accordingly
• Effective team player
• Flexible schedule strongly preferred

This is a remote (but candidates should be based in Los Angeles), part-time freelance position that is paid $25/hour with up to 20 hours / week, but that is positioned to become full-time.
