In 2020, 68 lives were lost on Colorado roads due to distracted drivers. CDOT is asking you to pledge to never drive distracted and to always ensure safety on the roads to protect not only yourself, but others as well.

As a Coloradan committed to safety,

I pledge to not drive distracted. I will always keep my focus on the road and both hands on the wheel.

I pledge to put my phone down and ignore or silence all notifications, calls and texts while driving.

I pledge to hold myself, and others, accountable to avoid all forms of distractions, such as eating or drinking while driving, selecting entertainment or turning to talk to passengers when driving.

I pledge to help others when they are in the driver's seat to avoid distractions by handling the navigation, music and other things that may distract the driver.
