The Institute for Innovation & Implementation's Center of Excellence on LGBTQ+ Behavioral Health Equity presents this webinar. Join us as presenters define the “closet” and its potentially lasting mental health impacts. Using a developmental lens, presenters discuss the early socialization experiences of sexual minority individuals, the costs of secrecy during this period, and the stressful and resilient adaptations that the closet might yield. The session also includes clinical implications for mental health providers. The presentation concludes with questions from attendees.
