Biography:  

Anu Bourgeois is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Georgia State University. She received her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Louisiana State University.  Her research is in the general area of distributed computing with a focus on health informatics, security & privacy, wireless & sensor networks, along with the intersections of these areas. Having served as the Undergraduate Director for the CS Department at GSU from 2006-2019, Dr. Bourgeois has a keen interest in CS education research and broadening participation in computing. 

Dr. Bourgeois is serving and has served as General co-Chair for the 37th and 34th IEEE International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium (2023) and (2020), respectively, Program co-Chair for the 12th IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things (2019), and the 9th IEEE International Conference on Social Computing and Networking (2016).  She has been an active member of organizing and program committees for numerous other conferences and workshops. She is a Senior Member of IEEE.
