I am an Associate Professor of Mathematics in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Southern Illinois University

My research interests lie in the fields of number theory, automorphic forms, representation theory, and harmonic analysis on reductive p-adic groups. I am particularly interested in questions arising from the Langlands program.

Prior to joining SIU in 2015 (Assistant Professor 2015-2020; Associate Professor 2020-present), I was a Visiting Assistant Professor from 2012 to 2015 at Oklahoma State University. For Spring 2013, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at ICERM, Brown University and joined the Semester Program on "Automorphic Forms, Combinatorial Representation Theory and Multiple Dirichlet Series."

I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2012 at Purdue University under the direction of Professor Freydoon Shahidi. I obtained my B.S. in Mathematics at Korea University, Seoul, and was a graduate student at POSTECH, Pohang, South Korea, before coming to Purdue.

Research Visits: Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques, IHÉS Invited Researchers; Hausdorff Research Institute for Mathematics, Trimester Program; Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik, Guest Programs; POSTECH Mathematics Institute, Hwarang Program.

Current Funding Support: Simons Foundation Travel Support for Mathematicians (formerly known as Collaboration Grants).

Papers / Preprints  (published versions linked to journal may slightly differ from arXiv)

Teaching: Along with instructing courses in regular curriculum, developing and delivering non-regular courses in advanced graduate topics, university honors seminars, interdisciplinary subjects, are also of great interest and pleasure to me.
