Monarchs Flipping the Classroom (MFTC)

Building a more productive way for students and staff to resolve problems with classroom practices through empathy.

The challenge is the disconnect between students and faculty. Our solution to this challenge is the idea of having a learning program where we collect information from students about how to make the learning process better at ODU. The specific info from the students will be given to the dean of the department to make changes to the classrooms as they see fit.

The process

The correlation between the students and faculty/staff isn't equal.

As a group, we surveyed students to gain knowledge on their experiences in the classroom and to understand them as well. Also, their opinions on the teaching practices of the current faculty/staff

We came up with the idea of "Monarchs Flipping the Classroom". This idea is based on students leading training sessions for faculty/staff to attend in order for them to improve on their teaching abilities and personal skills.
