Hi! Welcome to PSY 3010: Psychology Applied to Teaching!

So, you might be thinking one of two things right now:

1) I'm planning to be a teacher—why the heck do I need to take a Psych class?

or

2) This is a Gen Ed class for me. Enough said.

Well. My hope is that by the time we get to May, you are singing a very different tune, and here's why. . .

I think that teaching and learning are some of the most important things that people can do, and the field of Educational Psychology has lot to say about how to do them well. I also think that some of the systems we have supporting teaching and learning are some of the most busted, and that it's going to take the passion and creativity of people like you to turn things around.

All I'm asking you to do is to change the world of education. It's really not a big deal.

You in?
