Deep blue Christmas lights Mm silent nights Endless power lines To guide my long way home Just like Robert Frost On a winter's walk I don't need a light To find my long way home Silver Bells chime at the crosswalks Candles in the windows for someone else I'm alone but I'm not lonely Seeking the nostalgia I once felt Deep blue Christmas lights Mm cold, cold nights I don't need a light To find my long way home Ghost of Christmas Past Knew you'd never last I kept walking fast To find my long way home Blue lights lining every corner Blue snowflakes in the sky Not another soul that wanders On this cold, lovely night Deep blue Christmas lights Mm silent nights Endless power lines To guide my long way home I don't need a light To find my long way home

It came upon a midnight clear That glorious song of old From angels bending near the Earth To touch their harps of gold Peace on the Earth Good will to all From heaven's all precious things The world in solemn stillness lay To hear the angels sing O ye beneath life's crushing load Whose forms are heavy and low Who toil along the climbing way With painful steps and slow Look now for glad and golden hours Come swiftly on the wing O' rest beside the weary road And hear the angels sing

Holidaze 04:20
It's the holidaze Done my way Down home Life by the bay Things are slightly different But the same Winter's here Frost bites Nibbles on my ears Feels just right Things are slightly different But the same Same season Different flavor I'll be in my cozy sweater On my best behavior These holidaze Holidaze Done my way On my porch In a strong haze Things look slightly different But the same If you wanna come Up my way For a sugar plum Dream for a day We could keep each other toasty Same season Different flavor In my cozy sweater On my best behavior This holidaze These holidaze These holidaze

about

Bundle up, because singer/songwriter Shane Cooley’s new EP, Winter’s Walk, will take you on a journey through a snowy night in Holiday Nostalgia Land. “I’ve been studying what makes a holiday song tick since I was very young,” said Cooley, “I used to write and record Christmas songs on my 8-track when I was in high school, and give them out as Christmas cards. This project brings back some good memories.”

Two of the tracks, “Deep Blue Lights,” and “Holidaze” are new Cooley originals. The other two, “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear,” and “In the Bleak Midwinter,” are interpretations of old favorites. Cooley mused, “It’s mind-blowing to record songs that were written over a century ago! My favorite version of ‘It Came Upon a Midnight Clear’ was performed by Sinatra. You can’t top that. These songs have stood the test of time with their beauty.”
