SCHOLARSHIP IDAHO TERMS OF USE

Scholarship Idaho is an Idaho State Board of Education website created for Idaho students to apply for the Opportunity Scholarship, Idaho Launch Grant, the Governor’s Cup Scholarships, the GEAR Up Scholarship, the Tschudy Family Scholarship and Armed Forces and Public Safety Officer Dependent Scholarship.

By creating an account with Scholarship Idaho, you consent to the following (as applicable):

• Allowing the State Board of Education to supply your application information including SSN and education records to the Idaho institution you plan to attend as identified on your Idaho Opportunity Scholarship, GEAR Up Scholarship and/or Armed Forces and Public Safety Officer Dependent Scholarship application.

• Allowing the State Board of Education to supply your Idaho Launch grant application information including SSN and education records to the Workforce Development Council which administers the Idaho Launch grant program pursuant to Section, 72-1205, Idaho Code.

• Allowing the State Board of Education to supply your Governor’s Cup scholarship application information to the Governor’s Cup Scholarship program team.

• Allowing the State Board of Education to supply your Tschudy Family scholarship application to the Tschudy Family scholarship program team at Emmett High School.

Information submitted by students is ONLY used to facilitate or administer financial aid. Patterns observed in Scholarship Idaho will inform annual, statewide reports about scholarship access and funds disbursement.

Legal Names

A person's legal name is the name that appears on their birth certificate, driver’s license, and other government-issued identification documents. Avoid nicknames and abbreviations. Any deviation from an individual’s recorded legal name may result in application delays, suspension, or even elimination.

Social Security Number

A Social Security Number (SSN) is a nine-digit number assigned to U.S. citizens and some residents to help the government track their lifetime earnings and the number of years they work. It is also used to verify one’s identity in a wide variety of situations, including when individuals open a bank account, buy a house, and apply for public financial aid.

This is the standard format of an SSN: XXX-XX-XXXX where each X represents a single digit from 0–9.

Email Address

Make sure to enter a personal email address—not one provided by a school. Education IT networks often block automated messages and student accounts are (almost always) deactivated once that student graduates. The email entered here is required for every subsequent login. It is also the primary method of communication throughout the scholarship process.

What is my EDUID number?

All students attending an Idaho public school are assigned an EDUID. It may or may not be different than a school-assigned ID number. High school counselors or college advisors can look up your EDUID if you are not sure what yours is.

Most private and homeschooled students will not have an EDUID. Entering your EDUID is optional in Scholarship Idaho, so don’t sweat it if you skip this.

Is there a cost for me to apply?

There is no cost for students to submit an application through Scholarship Idaho.

Can I stop the process of applying and return to complete the required information at a later time?

Yes, you have the option to return to your account and complete your application. The application auto saves as you go along. Just don't forget to hit "Submit" when you have a scholarship complete!

What if I change my mind and want to remove one of my scholarship selections or withdraw my entire application?

If you are offered a scholarship, at that time you will have the option to decline, if for any reason you no longer wish to receive it (i.e. you have decided to attend school out of state).

Can I apply to another scholarship AFTER I have already submitted my Scholarship Idaho application

Yes, you may log back in and apply for any additional scholarships you qualify for, as long as it is within the application window for that scholarship.

Will the information I disclose on Scholarship Idaho be shared and, if so, with whom?

Scholarship Idaho is under the purview of the Office of the Idaho State Board of Education.
