East Hanover announces plan to cram Murphy’s pervy curriculum standards into a single day

Governor Phil Murphy’s ordered “review” of perverted new curriculum standards is creating uncertainty for New Jersey school districts.

Last week, East Hanover Township’s school district announced that it would take a narrow approach to implementing the standards: restricting the required topics to a single class held on the last day of school in 2023. In an April 20th letter to parents, the superintendent promised that the district “wholeheartedly supports that parents/guardians should serve as the primary sexuality educators for their children.”

Please know that we will not change our current lesson-planning or curriculum offerings based on the updated standards,” explained Natalee Bartlett. “As a district, we have decided that we will incorporate the new standards into one single classroom period (35 minutes) of instruction for grades 2, 5, and 8 at the end of the year. We also understand that children who are in the classes might want to share some information with other children. Therefore, the periods will occur on the last day of school next year (2023) to minimize the sharing of information.”

“These specific lessons will be co-taught by our PE teachers and school nurses and will be announced well in advance so that parents/guardians have ample time to inform schools as to whether or not their children will attend,” Bartlett elaborated. “We intend to loosely interpret the standards and apply simple and succinct definitions to terms. We are not going to discuss these terms in depth or provide instructional guides or materials. Those students who are not attending will be provided with alternate activities during these instructional periods.”

The full letter can be viewed here.

It remains to be seen what the district’s decision to “loosely interpret” the standards will look like.

Model lesson plans shared with Westfield, New Jersey parents included extremely graphic instruction for children as young as 7-years-old on topics including transgenderism and human sexuality.
