Young Harris College invites applications for part time, non-tenure track positions to begin in January 2022. Duties will primarily include teaching the SOCI 1120 Introduction to Sociology course for Young Harris Early. Young Harris Early College is the YHC dual-enrollment program whereby high school students take college courses to receive transferable college credits while still earning credit toward high school graduation. One of these Early College courses will be taught at Jefferson City High School while the second course will be taught at Peachtree academy in Covington. You can apply to teach one or both courses.
The successful candidate will have earned at least a Master’s degree in Sociology or closely related field. A strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum is required, as well as a comfort in using technology. Reasonable student enrollment per course and competitive pay (per course). Sample course syllabi will be provided by YHC faculty.
