Pick up holds anytime

To expand our hold pickup service to communities that cannot easily access a library branch and to expand hold pickup times beyond our current operating hours, Martin County Library Services is using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds awarded by the Board of County Commissioners to pilot our first hold pickup Library Locker at the 10th Street Community Center, located at 724 SE 10th Street in Stuart.

Patrons can now send reserved materials to the Library Locker for flexible, convenient pickup, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week! Unlock your next read!

How it works

A Library card and borrowing privileges are needed to use the locker. Please come to Library outreach events at the 10th Street Community Center or visit the Blake Library to register for a card. To upgrade your Martin County library card to a free idea lab card, stop by your library location in person to complete our one-time borrowing agreement. Once the agreement has been signed, you can begin checking out all kinds of exciting tech devices!

    1. Visit the Library Catalog or call (772) 228-5702 x5 to request library materials
    2. Select 10th Street Locker as the pickup location
    3. You will be notified when your items are ready for pick up

    When your hold is ready:

    1. Go to the locker located at 724 SE 10th Street, Stuart, FL 34994
    2. Scan your library card at the locker
    3. Enter your PIN (try the last 4-digits of your phone number)
    4. A locker will open for you to retrieve your items
    5. Please remove all items then close the door

You’ll be notified by phone or email when your item is ready for pickup. You'll have three (3) days to pick it up. If you don’t pick up the items within the three-day period, we will take the items off your card.

Returns can be dropped-in the book return next to the locker. If returning take-home-tech items, please return these inside a library branch during regular hours.
