Schwartz Center Box Office business hours are Monday–Friday, noon–6 p.m. during the Emory academic year and Monday–Thursday, noon–6 p.m. during the summer.

Most online and phone orders incur a $6 convenience fee per order.  To avoid this charge, visit the Schwartz Center Box Office during business hours.

While we cannot process ticket orders via email, you can contact us with questions at boxoffice@emory.edu

Please inquire about age appropriateness before bringing a child to any event.

Most ticketed events offer a discount category for youth under the age of 18—call the box office at 404.727.5050 to inquire about discounts. If the child is less than two years old and will sit on an adult’s lap, the child's admission is free. If a child uses a seat, a ticket is required.

There are no modifications to Emory University’s standard visitor policy at this time.

As an entity of Emory University, the Schwartz Center adheres to Emory's policies and protocols.

A few concerts and events feature a livestream for those who prefer to watch virtually. Please note that due to licensing, many performances cannot be livestreamed and some streamed performances may not be available for viewing online after the original presentation.

Schwartz Center calendar listings will be updated with information when a performance is also available as a livestream.

Row G in the balcony consists of cushioned folding chairs in the last row of Emerson Concert Hall seating. The acoustics in the concert hall are excellent in all seats.

East Balcony Row G seats are 101 (aisle) – 112 and West Balcony Row G seats are 118 – 129 (aisle).  Due to the narrowness of this row in the center, there is an empty space where seats 113 – 117 would typically sit.

Row G may have discounted pricing for some concerts.

The Emory Arts Passport is no longer available; however, current Emory University students are eligible to purchase tickets ranging from $5–$10 for most concerts, performances, and events taking place in the Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.  In addition, many events are offered free of charge.

Details are available on the Schwartz Center events calendar.

There is no specific dress code for concerts at the Schwartz Center. We welcome many Emory students and guests from the Atlanta community at Schwartz Center performances—some like to get dressed up while others prefer to dress more casually.

Before the performance starts, we encourage you to take photos and videos—feel free to tag us on Instagram or Facebook @SCPAEmory before you turn off your device to enjoy the performance! However, please remember that photography, recording, or digital capture of the performance is expressly prohibited unless the program specifically allows for it.

Applause at the concert’s end is thrilling, but sharing your excitement between movements of a classical work might distract the artists. The concert program typically indicates if the music being performed has multiple movements.

In a jazz concert, it's customary to applaud more frequently, such as at the end of instrumental solos, songs, and sets.

If you aren't sure about when to applaud, a good rule of thumb is to follow the lead of the conductor, the artists, and other audience members.

For concerts in Emerson Concert Hall, the online calendar listings will have a link to the electronic concert program at least a week prior to the event.  Looking through your concert program in advance lets you become more familiar with the works being performed, artist biographies, and program notes about the music.

For the Candler Concert Series, explore the playlists on the Schwartz Center's Spotify page to listen to samples of the artists' work.

Subscriptions

As a subscriber, you can exchange your tickets for another concert in the season as long as you contact the box office at least 24 hours in advance.  If extenuating circumstances arise, please call the box office at 404.727.5050 to discuss options.

Subscriptions may be purchased with funds on account by phone at 404.727.5050, Monday–Friday, noon–6 p.m.
