Business Start-up/Preplanning, Intellectual Property, Legal Issues

TALA (Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts), the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Texas (IP Section) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), will present this event. Over the past four years, volunteer attorneys from the IP Section, in collaboration with the USPTO have conducted the Pro Bono Tour.  The Pro Bono Tour is a state-wide program to provide educational workshops on how to protect the intellectual capital of small business owners, entrepreneurs, and inventors located in underserved communities throughout Texas.  Join us on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 8:30 am - 5 pm at RBFCU - 1 IKEA-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, TX 78233 in the Main Auditorium for this event. 

Sessions will provide an overview and introduction to intellectual property law including: patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Additionally, breakout sessions will include concurrent tracks with subject matter experts for topics such as: software, mechanical/electrical inventions, consumer products and art. There will also be one-on-one consultations between lawyers and participants. 

The non-refundable fee is $25.00 per person and includes: Light Breakfast & Box Lunch. Payment is required by: Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 8 am CDT in order to secure your registration. Registration and payment will NOT be taken at the door.

Registration and Fees: Payment of seminar fees may be made by check or credit card. Payment must be received to guarantee your space in an event.
