Live from National Council on Mental Wellbeing #NatCon2024

Mental health and substance use treatment organizations are vital to hospitals across the country, especially those serving rural areas where behavioral health providers and services are more limited. These organizations often bridge the gap between a patient boarding in the ER and their safe discharge home, or an inpatient stay and post discharge follow-up care.
On todays episode, hosts JJ and Rachel are live in St Louis, MO at the National Council on Mental Wellbeing with guest Annette Dubas, Executive Director, Nebraska Association of Behavioral Health Organizations (NABHO).

Good info, but is very political

I come from a rural area in another state and I am very passionate about rural healthcare and hospitals. I have found this podcast to be an excellent source of information and perspective on the issues, but I have to be honest: Mr. Hodshire has said repeatedly that it is not a political podcast. That is false. The podcast has a decidedly conservative slant which is understandable, but they have had guests (most notably Congressman Walberg) who repeat political talking points, leave out needed context for some contentious issues, and yes, they make statements that are provably and blatantly false. You can’t have that and say your podcast is not political. And again, that’s fine if it is. It’s your podcast. But it is heavily one-sided in ideological leaning.

Walberg propaganda dribble

Up until episode 14 I found your podcasts interesting and informative. A large portion of the Walberg interview was simply a political farce. I lost ANY respect for this pretend “Represenative “ when he voted to eliminate ALL of our presidential votes.
