NON-NEW JERSEY RESIDENTS (NC-SARA)

National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA)

Passaic County Community College is able to deliver online courses and programs via SARA. The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements, commonly known as SARA, provides a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.  When states join SARA, they agree to follow uniform processes for approving their eligible institutions' participation.

Complaint Resolution Procedure for Online Students

Students residing outside the state of New Jersey while enrolled in online courses and online programs at Passaic County Community College may submit a grievance to the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) only after completing the complaint process established by Passaic County Community College.

1. Students in online courses and online programs who seek to file an academic grievance should follow the procedures found in the Student Handbook

2. If a student is unable to resolve the complaint through the institutional process, then the student may contact the State of New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) and follow the Instructions for Filing a Complaint.

To find out more about SARA-related complaints, see the information at The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).
