Event Details

With Thanksgiving on 11/25 and Hanukkah starting on 11/28, come kick off the holiday season with an all-ages family giveback event!

Because the holidays are about more than just presents! All are welcome to come celebrate the holiday values of gratitude, giving, and kindness by participating in DIY projects that will benefit our community.

Stations will include:
  1. Can-struction Challenge: Help the hungry and make something cool! Bring some non-perishable food items, and help build a community art installation our of cans and boxes! (To benefit FM Food Pantry.)
  2. Make a Flameless Mason Jar Lantern: To light up the Library's Storywalk, or give as a gift! Supplies provided.
  3. Make a Fleece Hat: To donate to the Vera House, or give as a gift! Supplies provided.
  4. Decorate a Kindness Board: Spread cheer to local seniors at assisted living facilities by making a drawing, card or note for a Kindness Board!

Space is limited; registration is required. Masks are required for everyone ages 2+, regardless of vaccination status.

Offered in partnership with PJ Library in CNY, a program of the JCC of Syracuse.
