Tech Talent Program

Tech Talent Program (TTP)

The boom in tech industries in recent years has increased the demand for well-prepared workers. The Commonwealth of Virginia has invested $100 million in the Tech Talent Program (TTP) initiative designed to benefit students and employers from all around the state. As part of this statewide effort to stimulate the production of computer science and computer engineering graduates, Old Dominion University was selected to participate in the TTP initiative.

"Virginia's tech sector will continue booming only if we can train the workforce those jobs require. We are educating a workforce that will fill jobs at hundreds of tech companies around the Commonwealth, including at Amazon, helping boost our economy and quality of life in every corner of Virginia." -Gov. Ralph Northam

CALLING ALL FUTURE COMPUTER ENGINEERS

Meet Amadu Koroma - Electrical & Computer Engineering Double Major

"I think the world needs electrical and computer engineers because on one aspect we need somebody that creates the hardware and on another aspect you need somebody that works on the hardware. Technology is always going to be here to stay and it's going to keep advancing so I might as well keep advancing and start becoming an engineer."
