LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. revealed the nine inaugural recipients of 2023 NWAC Rawlings Gold Glove Awards, presented by the NFCA, on Thursday afternoon.

Columbia Basin College and Treasure Valley Community College each had two representatives on the team — one apiece in the infield and outfield. Columbia Basin sophomores Harley Raymond and Kendra Hart were the Gold Glove first baseman and right fielder, respectively, while Treasure Valley freshmen Madison Van Sickle and Leia Jenkins were voted to the shortstop and center field spots.

First-time NWAC champion Southwestern Oregon Community College placed sophomore third baseman Samantha Mansfield on the squad, while Clackamas sophomore pitcher Riley Shopp and Bellevue College sophomore catcher Haley Winckler comprised the Gold Glove battery.

North Idaho College sophomore Emma Todhunter was the choice at second base and Edmonds College freshman Taiana Round filled out the team at left field.

Recipients of the Rawlings Gold Glove Awards, presented by the NFCA, were selected by a full NFCA Cal JC membership vote following regional voting to identify the finalists at each position. The group utilized fielding statistics and school-submitted video to closely examine finalists and select the winners at every defensive position. Any student-athlete that competed in the current championship year and was nominated by their head coach who is a member in good standing with the NFCA was eligible for consideration for this prestigious accolade.
