Man's body found inside fuel tanker

IROQUOIS COUNTY, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — The Iroquois County Sheriff's Office was called to 800 N Road Friday morning for reports of a body in a fuel tanker trailer.

The Buckley, Paxton, and Urbana fire departments helped remove the body late Friday afternoon.

Illinois State Police (ISP) identified the man as 29-year-old Garrett Mayer of Nashville, Illinois.

An autopsy was conducted Saturday at the Champaign County Coroner's Office.

Toxicology results are pending.

The Iroquois County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate this death.
