The Arkansas Razorback baseball game and the Walmart, Inc. Shareholders Meeting will attract many visitors to campus this week.

The U of A will host thousands of Walmart U.S., Sam's Club and Walmart International associates for the company's annual shareholders' meeting this week.

Visitors will join business meetings, concerts, and other festivities across campus on Wednesday, May 31, and the Friday Associate Celebration will be held at Bud Walton Arena on June 2, starting at 8 a.m. Road and parking lot closures will be in effect as a result.

Road Closures

Nolan Richardson Drive between Razorback Road and Stadium Drive will be accessible only to holders of event-specific parking passes on Wednesday morning and evening, as well as Friday morning. Meadow Street will also be accessible only to event-specific pass holders Monday through Friday due to the high number of pedestrians. The University of Arkansas Police Department (UAPD) will direct traffic on Wednesday and Friday.

Parking Lots

Meadow Street Parking Garage will be closed to the public Monday through Friday. Other lots that are closed will have Walmart parking controllers at the entrances. Transit and Parking has provided a map of the parking lots affected

NCAA Baseball Regional

The Arkansas Razorback baseball team is also expected to host a NCAA Regional starting the afternoon of Friday, June 2. More than 11,000 fans for Arkansas and the other three teams in the regional will be in attendance.

Expect increased traffic at the intersection of Razorback Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, as well as increased visitor parking at Lot 56 (at the intersection of MLK Jr. Blvd and Razorback Road) and Lot 99 (on Beechwood Avenue).
