As the end of the spring semester approaches, all U of A students, faculty and staff should familiarize themselves with the following Transit and Parking details:

  • Parking: Normal parking enforcement will remain in place through Friday, May 12. This includes Reading Day, May 5, and each day during finals week.
  • Graduation: Commencement ceremonies take place May 12-13, with some parking areas open to guests and family members. Details are available on the university's commencement site.
  • Bus Service: Razorback Transit will continue to run its current routes through 6 p.m. Friday, May 12. There will be no service Saturday, May 13. Reduced summer routes will begin Monday, May 15. The adjusted transit routes for the summer can be found here under Summer 2023 Maps & Schedules. Follow the real-time bus map at uark.passiogo.com to help keep up with the adjusted schedule.
  • Union Station: There will be construction at the Union Station beginning Monday, May 15, and continuing until approximately Aug. 1. During construction, only the east entrance will be open.
  • Safe Ride: Safe Ride will continue normal operations through Thursday, May 11, and will not be available during the summer months.
  • Resident Reserved Lots: Beginning Monday, May 15, any vehicle with an annual faculty/staff or student permit (except the economy permit) will have access to resident reserved parking areas until Aug. 4. Those lots are indicated in red on the campus parking map.
  • Permit Expiration Dates: The annual faculty/staff and student permits for green and orange lots expire July 31. Current resident reserved and student garage permits expire May 31. Faculty/staff parking permits for the 2023-2024 academic year will be available in July. All student permits, including resident reserved and garage permits, will become available in early August. Once permits are available, they can be purchased online at myparkingaccount.uark.edu.
