Executive Vice President, Chief People and Culture Officer, Ochsner Health

As Executive Vice President and Chief People and Culture Officer, Tracey Schiro provides leadership for the Human Resources division, including Total Rewards; Talent Acquisition; Employee Experience; Talent Management; Workforce Development; HR Operations and Human Resources Information Systems; Professional Staff Services; and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Through her work, Schiro fosters a healthy employee culture by effectively integrating new partner organizations, building a scalable workforce development program and advancing an innovative diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.

Under Schiro’s leadership, Ochsner has led in employee engagement and Best Place to Work recognition. The organization is also the recipient of the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, honoring the most engaged workplace cultures in the world. In recent years, Ochsner has received additional accolades, including being named a Top Workplace by The Times-Picayune, ranked as a USA Top Workplace, named Best Employer for Veterans by Forbes, and honored as one of the 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare by Becker’s Healthcare and most recently honored by Newsweek as one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families 2023.’’

Schiro joined Ochsner in 2007 as Assistant Vice President, Compensation, Benefits, and Human Resources Information Systems. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President, Chief Risk and Human Resources Officer and Chief Administrative Officer on the Executive team.

Prior to joining Ochsner, Schiro worked for Coca-Cola Enterprises for 10 years in progressing HR leadership roles. Schiro received her Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Human Resources at the University of New Orleans, where she also received her Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Schiro serves on the Louisiana Workforce Investment Council, Delgado Community College Foundation Board, Academy of Sacred Heart Board of Trustees and Workday Healthcare Advisory Council.
