NE10 Player of the Week

Macy Brown, New Haven
Junior | Outside Hitter | Cadillac, Mich.

Brown led the Chargers in three matches at Bentley's Sandy Hoffman Memorial Tournament, racking up 54 kills including back-to-back 20+ kills matches and double figures in all three matches. She opened up the two-day tournament with 11 kills and three service aces against Tampa. Later that day, she saw her high of the weekend with 23 kills and added 12 digs and a pair of blocks against the host Falcons. She then closed out the week with 20 kills and 14 digs while adding three more aces against American International.

NE10 Libero of the Week

Morgan Schmutzler, Franklin Pierce
Senior | Libero | Lockport, Ill.

In back-to-back weeks, Schmutzler has been a force on the court. At the team's second tournament weekend of the season, Schmutzler tallied 79 digs and passed the 1,000 career dig milestone in the team's 3-1 victory over Dominican University. She averaged 7.90 digs per set in a 2-1 week for the Ravens, including a week-high 30 digs in a 3-0 win over Post.

NE10 Setter of the Week

Alice Di Francesco, American International
Junior | Setter | Capelle Sul Tavo, Italy

Di Francesco was the difference maker in AIC's win over New Haven at the Sandy Hoffman Memorial Invitational. In just three sets, all AIC wins, she cranked out 32 assists and added ten digs and five aces to lead AIC from down 1-0 to victory.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Kendall Webber, Southern Connecticut
Freshman | Middle Blocker | St. Petersburg, Fla.

Webber had a combined total of 11 kills and five blocks against Dominican University and Sant Anselm's College. She recorded nine kills and four blocks against the University of Bridgeport, and had five kills and a team-best of five blocks against Post University. She averaged 1.92 kills and 1.08 blocks per set, while racking up 33 points in a 3-1 week for the Owls. 

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Noelle Alberda, Adelphi (Jr., RS - Kenmore, Wash.)
As the team settled back in from its early-season trip to Michigan, Alberda led the team with 24 kills on a scintillating .432 hitting percentage in a 2-0 week as part of Adelphi's first two home matches of the season. She had an errorless night and tied a career-high with 16 kills in a three-set sweep of Bloomfield on Friday.

Brenna Valsted, Adelphi (Gr., S - Louisville, Ky.)
Valsted set an early-season-high in Friday's match against Bloomfield, allocating 29 assists. She was efficient in her first two home matches of the season, dishing out 40 assists (8.00 per set avg.) in 76 attempts for a .526 success rate in a 2-0 week for Adelphi. 

Perla Rosa, American Int'l (So., DS - Weston, Fla.)
Rosa was strong in AIC's three matches at the Sandy Hoffman Memorial Invitational. She collected double-digit digs in both contests against NE10 opposition, with 18 in just three sets against Bentley and 16 against the Chargers to help AIC win. She also dished out 15 assists.

Barbara Illig, Assumption (Jr., DS - Delaware, Ohio)
Illig had a game-high 27 digs to go along with three aces in Assumption's 3-0 sweep of St. Thomas Aquinas. The Greyhounds are off to their best start since 2012. 

Jazzy Burke, Bentley (Jr., DS - Lake George, N.Y.)
Burke averaged 4.42 digs per set and had 53 total in three matches at the Sandy Hoffman Memorial Tournament. She averaged 5.67 digs per set in a 3-0 win over AIC on Friday and had 21 digs and a 4.20 average in a 3-2 come-from-behind win over New Haven. 

Tessa Brandt, Franklin Pierce (Sr., OH - Foster, R.I.)
Brandt has been a key player for the Ravens this season. In this weekend's tournament she tallied 12 kills and 18 digs in the team's win over Dominican, while averaging 2.40 kills and 4.30 digs per set in a 2-1 week for Franklin Pierce. 

Caroline Belmontez, Saint Anselm (Sr., DS - San Diego, Calif.)
Belmontez ended a successful 3-1 weekend for Saint Anselm with 71 total digs to go along with nine service aces, and a pair of kills. She earned a season-high 30 digs against Bridgeport helping the team pick up a 3-2 win over the Purple Knights.

Kaitlin Brown, Saint Anselm (Sr., OH - Glendale, Ariz.)
Brown was the only player to produce 10 or more kills in each match for Saint Anselm helping the team go 3-1 over the weekend. She earned over 50 digs, made five blocks, and served three aces for the Hawks. Her best performance was against Bridgeport tallying a season-high 20 digs to go along with four blocks.

Ella Patterson, St. Michael's (So., OH - Folsom, Calif.)
Patterson recorded 16 kills, 18 digs and three aces in a 3-1 loss at Plymouth State on Saturday. 

Ana Pimenta, Southern N.H. (R-Sr., OH - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil)
Pimenta amassed 43 kills (3.31 k/s), two aces, 12 digs (0.92 d/s) and seven blocks (0.54 b/s) during a 1-3 week for the Penmen. Pimenta racked up 14 kills in a 3-0 win against Northern Michigan on Friday and then had 14 more in a 3-1 loss to seventh-ranked Minnesota Duluth on Saturday. Pimenta was named to the Up North All-Tournament Team for her efforts.
