So-called "adulting" is hard, but it can be even harder when you have the asynchronous development that often comes with being gifted. Preparing neurodivergent kids for the adult world can be challenging. Gifted kids intuitively understand so many things, but the skills needed to transition into the adult world aren't always intuitive. So what do our kids need to know and how can we support them in gaining those skills? Amanda Morin will share information and strategies to support building the skills our kids need to launch into the world.
Amanda Morin empowers parents and educators to affirm the pivotal roles they play in children’s education. In her previous role of Director of Thought Leadership at Understood.org, Amanda helped build knowledge about neurodiversity. Amanda is the author of five books including Adulting Made Easy: Things Someone Should Have Told You About Getting Your Grown-Up Act Together. She provides education and training to parents of children with disabilities and leads multidisciplinary teams in developing and implementing Individual Family Service Plans.
