Steely Core, Warm Hug:
Helping Gifted and Talented Youth with Their Problems
(or How to Parent While Considering Therapy)
Saturday, Feb 26, 2022, 8:00am - 11:00am via Zoom
The pandemic has contributed to a major upswing in social and emotional challenges for children and teens. The supply of therapists and therapy appointment hours has not kept up with the demand for mental health support. This practical workshop provides important perspectives and essential steps parents can take to support their children with problems, whether or not a therapist is involved.
The workshop is not intended to provide emergency services or specific therapeutic advice. Instead, I will discuss the everyday decision-making and scaffolding parents can use to provide the trustworthy base and resources their children need when facing significant challenges.
Scholarships are available through the Cottonwood Center. Please email mary@marywandrei.com for more information.
