    Digital River’s extension enables Digital River to be the merchant of record for storefronts hosted in Magento. Magento maintains all pricing and product data. The extension automatically syncs with Digital River to provide the subset of product data required for tax calculation. During order placement, the extension uses this information along with order data to provide the appropriate taxes for an order. The extension includes Digital River’s Drop-in payment integration to provide access to Digital River’s suite of payment methods, and to securely collect the shopper’s payment details, maintaining all security and privacy requirements. The extension natively collects the necessary information needed to facilitate display of the appropriate terms of sale and other compliance requirements, while its fraud beacon does its job to protect you from emerging fraud tactics and attacks. Everything you need to take advantage of Digital River’s Onshore Advantage™ happens automatically through the Digital River’s extension.

    Security

    Digital River provides PCI compliance, tokenization, and fraud screening through an API reference. When the shopper enters payment information at checkout, they interact with secure payment fields that are hosted by Digital River within a Magento-hosted page. The shopper is never redirected to another page. Those secure fields are served up by digitalriver.js, a developer-friendly library that allows brands to securely process transactions without having to take on the responsibilities of PCI compliance. When brands use the digitalriver.js API reference on their Magento store, Digital River serves up payment methods, validates card data, tokenizes customer information, performs fraud screening, collects sensitive card data, and processes transactions in a manner that is fully-compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Digital River is a Level 1 PCI compliant service provider. Customer data is stored on Digital River’s secure servers, never on Magento servers.
