Application Deadline - Ohio History Fund

Hello Grant Seekers and History Fund Friends,

The application deadline for Ohio History Fund grants is Sept. 27, 2022, a month away! Looking for funds for your organization's history project? Find the application at www.ohiohistory.org/historyfund.

The Ohio History Fund is a competitive matching grants program supported by donations to the "Ohio History Fund" check-off on state income tax returns, sales of (Ohio) History license plates and gifts to the Ohio History Connection for the Ohio History Fund.

Grants support all kinds of history projects including repairs and rehabilitation of National Register-listed historic buildings, museum collection storage initiatives, educational programs, digitization of archival materials and historic photographs, history-architecture and archaeological surveys, exhibit development (including virtual exhibits), oral history gathering and more.

Eligible applicants include local historical societies, historic preservation groups, museums, public libraries, genealogical societies, university archives and special collections, archaeological societies, county records management offices, “friends” groups and other non-profit and public entities.

Ineligible applicants include for-profit businesses, private individuals and the Ohio History Connection.

The Ohio History Fund application process is entirely online. No paper submissions of grant applications are accepted, although applications can be printed for reference.
