Dear All,
The past two years have been transformative for our department. We have realized tremendous growth in our faculty numbers and research productivity, enrollment in our graduate programs, and student success.
In this newsletter, we summarize some of the key achievements of our faculty and students:
- Five-fold increase in extramural funding
- Dr. Gentili collaborating on a major NSF grant
- Dr. Aqlan leading an NSF-IUSE project for undergraduate and high school students
- Establishment of a new university-center, CORE 4.0, based on a $1 million EDA grant and led by IE faculty
- Rejuvenation and renaming of the Center for Ergonomics
- Recognition of our IISE and INFORMS student chapters
We welcome you to review these below.
From all of us in the IE Department and the Cardinal Family at UofL, have a great rest of the semester and happy holidays in advance!
Regards,
