Public Health System Impact Statement (PHSIS) / Single State Agency Coordination: Applicants must send the PHSIS to appropriate State and local health agencies by application deadline. Comments from Single State Agency are due no later than 60 days after application deadline.

Description

The purpose of this program is to provide resources to improve the mental health outcomes for children and youth, birth through age 21, with serious emotional disturbances (SED), and their families. This program supports the implementation, expansion, and integration of the System of Care (SOC) approach by creating sustainable infrastructure and services that are required as part of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and their Families Program (also known as the Children’s Mental Health Initiative or CMHI).

Eligibility

Eligibility for this program is statutorily limited to states and territories, governmental units within political sub-divisions of states, and federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) tribes and tribal organizations.

Award Information

Funding Mechanism: Grant

Anticipated Total Available Funding: $10,421,424

Anticipated Number of Awards: 3-10 (at least 1 award will be made to an ai/an tribe or tribal organization pending sufficient application volume)

Anticipated Award Amount: From $1,000,000 to $3,000,000 per year

Length of Project: Up to 4 years

Cost Sharing/Match Required?: Yes

Proposed budgets cannot exceed $1,000,000 or $3,000,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) in any year of the proposed project. Annual continuation awards will depend on the availability of funds, grantee progress in meeting project goals and objectives, timely submission of required data and reports, and compliance with all terms and conditions of award.)
