About Us 

The Office of Community Development (OCD) is committed to stabilizing and revitalizing neighborhoods, channeling available resources and information needed to provide Orleans Parish residents with services in affordable housing, economic development, special needs, and community service programs.

OCD has 6 units that work together to carry out the goals and objectives that support revitalized neighborhoods, delivering needed social services to families in the City of New Orleans.

Funding

OCD manages federal grant money given to New Orleans by taking, selecting, and distributing funds to local service providers.  OCD does not provide individuals money to repair or restore their homes.
