Jayne Walters is the first openly transgender woman to work at the Indianapolis Public Library and to become a branch manager. She specializes in both children's and teen literature, as well as literature by and about the LGBTQIA+ community. She is a founding member of the LGBTQ+ Committee for the Indianapolis Public Library. She has her MLIS in Youth Services, and serves as one of the volunteer coordinators for the West Indianapolis Branch of IndyPL.
