2023: Made 19 appearances on the mound, including 15 starts as the Friday night starter ... Registered an 8-4 record with a 5.46 ERA, tossing 89.0 innings with 84 strikeouts ... Anchored the team in starts, wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts ... Finished in top five in C-USA in wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts ... First victory of the season came versus Nicholls State (2/24), throwing a season-high 7.0 innings while allowing one run on four hits ... 2022: Made 19 appearances and 14 starts in his redshirt junior season as a Bulldog ... Began the season as the Friday night starter ... Finished the year with an 8-2 record, a 3.52 ERA over 79.1 innings pitched and an incredible 73-9 strikeout-to-walk ratio ... Ranked first on the team and tied for second in C-USA in wins ... Registered a career-high 11 strikeouts in his third start of the season at McNeese State (3/4) ... Tossed six scoreless innings of one hit ball his very next outing against Houston Baptist (3/11) ... Earned his seventh inning in relief at Charlotte (5/21) throwing 2.2 scoreless innings fanning two while allowing no walks ... Notched a season-high seven innings in the C-USA Tournament against Old Dominion in a 8-7 walk-off victory.

2021: LA Tech’s Friday night starter … Led the Bulldog pitching staff in strikeouts (85), innings pitched (100.1) and lowest opposing batting average against him (.219) … Ranked fourth in the C-USA in ERA (3.05) and opposing batting average (.219) … Was one of two C-USA pitchers to eclipse 100 innings pitched … Twice Named a Conference USA Pitcher of the Week … Made 17 pitching appearances, 16 of which were starts … Finished the year with an 8-3 record, 3.05 ERA and just 23 walks allowed … Registered nine straight quality starts between McNeese State (3/5) and Middle Tennessee (4/30) … Posted a complete-game, one-hit shutout at Tulane (3/19) where he allowed just two baserunners over nine innings … Posted another complete-game shutout at Rice (4/9) while striking out five batters and allowing just one walk … Tied his career-high in strikeouts (10) twice during the 2021 season with outings against Air Force (2/21) and Marshall (4/23) … Worked eight innings while allowing just two runs on six hits in LA Tech’s Ruston NCAA Regional victory over Rider (6/4).

2020: Moved to the starting rotation and posted a 2.66 ERA over 4 starts in his redshirt sophomore season ... Went 2-2 while striking out 26 batters over 23.2 innings of work ... Held opposing hitters to a .174 batting average ... Led all Tech starters in ERA, strikeouts, and BAA ... Struck out 10 batters in back-to-back outings against Troy (2/21) and Maine (2/28).

2019: Member of the Conference USA All-Freshman Team ... Tossed 32.1 innings in 27 appearances out of the bullpen ... His 2.78 ERA was second-best on the team ... Struck out 14.1 batters per nine innings, which led the team ... Finished the year with a 3.92 strikeout-to-walk ratio ... Earned three saves.

2018: Redshirted, did not see action.

PRIOR TO LA TECH: Graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 2017 ... Lettered for four years in baseball and three in football ... Racked up 297 strikeouts (school record) for his career ... Twice named to the LHSAA all-District team ... First-team all-Shreveport pitcher in 2016 ... Over the past two seasons Fincher has tossed 114 innings, racking up 155 strikeouts a 1.25 WHIP and a 2.68 ERA ... During his junior season set the C.E. Byrd school record for strikeouts in a season with 88 and will enter his senior season just 38 strikeouts shy of the school record for career strikeouts (192) ... In 2016 he helped lead C.E. Byrd to 5A-State runner up ... Member of the National Honor Society and Key Club ... Coached by Greg Williams and Ford Pemberton.
