Academy Sports + Outdoors Teams Up with Kentucky State University for a Community Give Back

FRANKFORT, Ky. Academy Sports + Outdoors partnered with Kentucky State University to provide a gift card donation to the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center. 
 
The donation was presented at halftime of the Kentucky State University football game on Saturday, October 23rd. 
 
Following the presentation, Interim Athletic Director Ramon Johnson presented the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center with a game-issued football helmet to display within the center.

The partnership between Academy Sports + Outdoors and the SIAC focuses on establishing meaningful community initiatives within the SIAC footprint. These initiatives will look to activate and amplify grassroots efforts, such as youth outreach and mentoring programs inclusive of student-athletes and administrators from across the conference.
