OKLAHOMA CITY – Amaza found a best friend in Otto, the mascot at the Science Museum Oklahoma.

“Tada!” Amaza said, playing a game with Otto.

But, all good things must come to an end, and Otto needed to charge his batteries, so 6-year-old Amaza reluctantly said goodbye.

Amaza’s older sister, M’catelan, is 8-years-old.

She’s in the second grade.

Both girls went into DHS custody three years ago.

Going to the Curiocity exhibit is a special treat for these girls.

After a few experiments and games, we sat down to find out more about the sisters’ lives.

M’catelan has an innocent sense to her.

She is timid in front of the camera.

“So, actually, in the winter time, it’s my birthday, so I’m going to go to Gattitown for my birthday,” M’catelan said.

M’catelan and Amaza live with a foster family right now.

M’catelan’s favorite thing to do at her foster home is paint.

“I like to paint, color and do projects that are fun,” M’catelan said.

When talking more about her personal life, M’catelan is shy.

She used her sister’s voice to talk about what she wants in a future family.

M’Catelan whispers to Amaza, “She said she wants a mommy and daddy.”

“Take her anywhere she wants to go,” Amaza said for M’catelan.

And, after a little warming up to the camera, M’catelan steps in to answer questions by herself.

“I want a family that likes to go swimming and likes to go to the movies,” M’catelan said.

Amaza may only be in kindergarten, but she is very confident in what she wants.

“I want a family that is nice to me, and really nice to me, that lets me sleep well and eat well,” Amaza said.

They are two healthy and sweet children just looking for a normal life to take them into adulthood.
