About this event

Please join the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse on May 19 at 3:00 PM EDT for an informational webinar on mental health including guidance and resources for kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) schools.

The session will be held in coordination with the Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and feature Project AWARE Site Directors from both Rockingham County and Cleveland County Public Schools in North Carolina.

Presenters will provide an overview of how communities can utilize a multi-tiered system of support in schools to address the complex mental health needs among K-12 audiences. Providing access to mental health services has been shown to reduce mental, emotional, and behavioral difficulties with students and can help foster a safe and supportive learning environment for all members of the community.
