About this project

We are all unique. Our narratives and legacy are a result of the stories our people have been telling for generations. Each of our Shlichim (Israeli emissaries) have a story too. In fact, they connect with many other stories as they meet so many diverse people along their journeys, and then share those with the Jewish people wherever they go. We created the Sipurim project to enable these stories to live a digital eternity. Our Shlichim are creating content that truly resonates on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, connecting our people and their personal stories into one: the virtual story of our global Jewish family. Enjoy exploring.

Europe

London

How is it to work at the oldest Zionist youth movement in the world? Well…if you ask Gal-Osher, it is incredible! Working within a movement that leads thousands of Jewish teenagers in the United Kingdom through trips to Israel, summer camps and learning about Herzl – that cannot be boring.

The Hague

While the discussion at the international court in The Hague was taking place, our Shaliach in The Netherlands was standing alongside the Jewish community there in solidarity with Israel.

Brussels

“Every Jew in the world today has a role – and he is to leave the issue of the hostages on the agenda,” said Harel, our Shaliach in Belgium. He talks about the initiative to ride 40km on a bicycle, at a temperature below zero degrees, and about the hostage flyers that were taken down in Brussels.

Budapest

A soccer game of the Israeli national team was held in Budapest, Hungary. While thousands of Israelis have been evacuated and expelled from their houses in the south and north of Israel, due to the ongoing war, our Shlichah in Budapest was there to take displaced kids to the game, play with them, and give them some time of fun and relief.

Stockholm

When Adva found out she could go back as a Shlichah to the community where her mother was born – she couldn’t say no. Get to know the story of one of the smallest Jewish communities in Europe – the Jewish community of Stockholm!

Madrid

What would you do if you found that many of the young members of the Jewish community really want to speak Hebrew but just can’t? Join our Shlichah in Madrid, Spain, on her journey to help people in the community learn to speak Hebrew like pros – and make new friends along the way!

Lyon

While the Jewish world is going through a very difficult time, our Shaliach in Lyon, France – Malachi – organized an event that its goal is simple: make the Jewish community laugh again.

Cambridge

As anti-Israel protests grow louder across the UK, our Jewish Agency Shlicha Adi and Nova Festival survivors Bar and Hila refuse to be silenced. Together, they’re helping ensure that the memory of October 7th does not fade, and reminding us all that the Jewish people and the state of Israel are very much alive. Thank you to Bar and Hila for sharing your stories. Am Yisrael Chai.

North America

Toronto

While it was freezing cold in Canada, Kochav, our Shlichah in Toronto, didn’t let the cold stop her from fulfilling her duty: she went to meet Catholic school students who have Jewish friends and helped them learn and understand why Israel is such an important place for Jews.

Florida

Since October 7th, antisemitism is on the rise. Jewish students on campuses around the world find it difficult to communicate their concerns to their non-Jewish friends. So…Sapir, our Shlichah in Florida, came up with a great idea to share more love and less hate on campus. Check out her video to see how!

Rhode Island

Our Shaliach Elihay is a people person! Between his work in the Jewish community of Rhode Island and harvesting in the north of Israel with farmers affected by the war, Elihay redefines the concept of Shlichut, even while his heart is in Ashkelon 💔

Arizona

From Israel to Arizona, bridging worlds through the lens of Lavi Lifshitz z”l, a remarkable talent gone too soon. Join our Shlicha Yuval as she shares Lavi’s profound story and captivating photography with the local community, celebrating his legacy and connecting hearts across continents.

Portland

How significant is the connection to the Jewish community during the Shlichut? If you ask Linoy, our Shlicha in Portland, you will understand.

Linoy, a musician, decided to fulfill another dream during the her Shlichut- to release an album of the music she wrote. She received a warm hug from the Jewish community and launched her album at an amazing launch party together with all the community members who came to support here. Now, this is an experience!

South America

CORDOBA

“Bring Them Home!” – that is what the community in Argentina chanted at a rally for the hostages still in captivity. Lauran, our Shlichah in Argentina, led the efforts to make sure every community member remembers our hostages and prays for their return – as soon as possible.

Australia

Melbourne

What does the Jewish community in Australia have to do with Australia’s First Nation communities? Join Tobias on his journey as he meets the ancient Australian community and explores the similarities between the two communities.
