Two of those murdered in Friday night's attack in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood in Jerusalem were identified as couple Eli Mizrahi, age 48, and his wife Natalie Mizrahi, 45. The couple got married just two years ago, Hebrew media reported on Saturday morning.

Speaking to N12 on Saturday morning, Eli Mizrahi's father Shimon recounted the sequence of events that had occurred the night before.

"We were in the middle of our Shabbat meal. My son and his wife heard the gunshots, we all did," he said.

"They went outside to see what was happening and tried to help the wounded. Apparently, at some point they spotted the terrorist and exchanged a few words with him. And then he just pulled out a gun and shot them both."

The grieving father placed some of the blame for the attack onto the shoulders of Israel's security establishments, questioning why they don't have tighter security in the area.

"Why didn't they park a patrol car at the edge of the neighborhood, it's a sensitive place. They don't patrol, they don't do anything.

The name of a third victim of the deadly attack was released on Saturday evening - 50-year-old Raphael Ben Eliyahu, and details of a fourth victim, 14-year-old Asher Natan, followed shortly after.

The fifth victim was identified as 68-year-old Shaul Hai, Gabbai (warden) of the synagogue in Pisgat Zeev, on Saturday evening.

The sixth victim is 26-year-old Ilya Sosansky. The seventh victim was identified as Irina Korolova, a 60-year-old citizen of Ukraine.

Ukrainian citizen among the victims

On Saturday afternoon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a statement condemning the terror attacks and confirmed that a Ukrainian citizen was among those killed in the Neve Yaakov synagogue shooting.

"We share Israel's pain after the terrorist attacks in Jerusalem. Among the victims is a Ukrainian woman. Sincere condolences to the victims' families," he wrote on Twitter.

"The crimes were cynically committed on the Intl Holocaust Remembrance Day. Terror must have no place in today's world. Neither in Israel nor in Ukraine."
